A home that welcomes light and greenery from its four corners.

Located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Sapporo,
this house looks toward greenery to the north and northeast.

As one moves through the interior, the view gradually enters the field of vision.
Openings gathered at the four corners gently welcome light and greenery into the home.

The site is situated in a calm residential area of Sapporo, with greenery spreading to the north and northeast.
The design embraces this setting by creating a sequence in which the landscape gradually reveals itself as one moves through the interior.

Openings are placed at the four corners of the building, while the remaining surfaces are composed as solid walls, forming a clear and restrained volume.
The house is designed to sit quietly within the streetscape, without asserting itself.

The interior follows a simple rectangular plan centered around a staircase.
Without relying on level changes or complex manipulations, the design carefully brings in surrounding greenery and natural light, creating a space that feels both calm and expansive with minimal elements.
