敷地は交通量のある幹線道路沿い。
しかし同時に、豊かな白樺並木という魅力的な景観を持っている。

その並木を積極的に取り込むため、
リビングなどの主要空間を2階へ配置。
並木側にバルコニーを設けることで、
視線を柔らかく制御しながら開放性を確保した。

玄関アプローチは筒状の空間とした。
奥の階段越しに、白く包まれた外部空間が見える構成とし、
訪れる人の期待感を高めている。

この屋外空間は単なるアプローチではなく、
光を乱反射させ室内へ導く“光庭”としての役割も持つ。
直射ではなく、やわらかな光が空間を包み込む。

室内の床は、白樺並木と呼応するよう、
ややラフな白染色で仕上げた。

並木が年月とともに成長し、
街並みに奥行きを与えていくように、
この住宅もまた、風景とともに成熟していくことを願っている。

Although the site faces a busy road,
it benefits from a striking row of birch trees along the avenue.

To capture this scenery, the living areas were elevated to the second floor.
A balcony mediates between the interior and the street,
softening views while maintaining openness toward the trees.

The entrance approach is designed as a cylindrical passage.
Beyond it, a white exterior-like interior space is revealed past the staircase,
enhancing anticipation for visitors.

This outdoor space also functions as a light court,
reflecting and diffusing natural light into the interior,
creating a soft and gentle atmosphere.

The flooring is finished with a slightly rough white stain,
echoing the rhythm and tone of the birch-lined street.

As the birch trees continue to grow and shape the neighborhood,
this house too is intended to mature in harmony with its surroundings.
