Lighting a New Form of Care.

This project renovates an existing wooden clinic while adding a new reinforced concrete wellness building alongside it.

Rather than forcing the two structures into visual uniformity,
each building expresses its own character.

The result is a clinic that opens softly to the community through light.

The existing wooden clinic had darkened over time, creating a subdued impression.
Through renovation, the façade was renewed with bright, textured plaster.

The signage was redesigned like a traditional lantern, casting a gentle glow into the town.

A new RC wellness building was added to support patients’ long-term health.
Due to structural and legal constraints, the wooden and concrete buildings were designed as independent volumes.

Freed from the need to imitate the original structure,
the new building takes on a dynamic form, acting as a landmark within the community.

Large windows frame distant mountains and the sky,
bringing nature into the interior and creating a calming atmosphere.

This project redefines the image of a clinic—
not as a closed institution, but as a softly illuminated presence within the town.
