札幌市手稲区の高台に建つリフォーム住宅

ユウコウの家は、札幌市手稲区の高台に位置し、北東側には石狩の海を望む、恵まれたロケーションに建っています。
しかし、既存の設計では、その美しい風景を十分に活かす空間構成や窓の配置にはなっていませんでした。

また、断熱性能や耐震性にも不安があり、暮らしの快適性と安全性の両面で課題を抱えていました。

そこで本計画では、間取りやデザインの刷新だけを目的とするのではなく、建物の性能そのものを見直すことから着手しました。
外皮性能を大幅に高める断熱改修を行い、構造的に弱さが懸念される部分には補強を施すことで、安心して長く住み続けられる住まいへと再構築しています。

風景を取り込みながら、同時に性能も高める。
意匠と性能のどちらかを優先するのではなく、その両立を丁寧に目指しました。

A Renovated Home Situated on a Hill in Teine, Sapporo

「Yuko-no-ie」House is located on a hill in Teine Ward, Sapporo, commanding a beautiful view of the Sea of Ishikari to the northeast.
Despite this exceptional setting, the original design did not fully capitalize on the surrounding landscape in its spatial composition or window placement.

In addition, there were concerns regarding thermal insulation and seismic performance, raising issues in both comfort and structural safety.

Rather than focusing solely on redesigning the layout or updating the aesthetics, this project began with a comprehensive reassessment of the building’s performance.
We significantly upgraded the thermal envelope and reinforced structurally vulnerable areas, transforming the house into a residence that offers both long-term comfort and security.

The goal was not to prioritize design over performance, or vice versa, but to carefully achieve a balance between the two —
framing the landscape while simultaneously enhancing the building’s fundamental performance.

リフォームで風景を取り入れた空間設計

リフォームではリビング、ダイニング、キッチンを2階の北東に配置し、外の景色を楽しむことができる空間としました。また、西側に位置する吹き抜けからは、反射光が優しく室内を包み込む設計としています。この光により、空間全体が温かみのある心地よい雰囲気に包まれます。

空間に合わせた素材選び
室内で使用する材料は、この優しい光に調和するように、落ち着いた色味や質感のものを選びました。これにより、全体的に空間が一体感を持ち、心地よい居住空間が完成しました。

丁寧なリフォームの積み重ね
リフォームは、既存のものを有効に活用しながら、丁寧に整えていく作業の積み重ねです。このプロセスによって、機能性と美しさを兼ね備えた住まいが実現されました。

Space Design Incorporating the Scenic View through Renovation

In the renovation, the living room, dining room, and kitchen were placed on the second floor to the northeast, creating a space where the outdoor scenery can be enjoyed. Additionally, the open space located to the west allows reflected light to gently envelop the interior. This light creates a warm, inviting atmosphere throughout the entire space. Additionally, the exterior insulation prevents internal condensation, ensuring clean and hygienic air quality—essential for a healthcare facility. This approach creates a comfortable space that benefits both patients and staff alike.

Material Selection Tailored to the Space
The materials used indoors were chosen to harmonize with the soft light, selecting those with calm colors and textures. This created a cohesive space, resulting in a comfortable and inviting living environment.

The Accumulation of a Careful Renovation Process
Renovation is the process of carefully refining and making effective use of existing elements. Through this process, a home that combines both functionality and beauty was achieved.
