北海道網走市の住宅街に建つ住宅「雁行の家」。縦長の敷地条件を活かし、建物を雁行配置とすることで光や視線の抜けをつくった住まいです。

雁行の家は、北海道網走市の住宅街に建つ住宅です。

敷地は奥行きのある縦長の形状で、
周囲には住宅が建ち並ぶ環境にあります。

この敷地条件に対して、建物を雁行するように配置することで、
光や風を取り込みながら視線の抜けをつくる計画としました。

それぞれの空間が少しずつ角度を変えながら連なり、
住宅地の中でも落ち着いた広がりを感じられる住まいを目指しています。

“Ganko House” is a residence in Abashiri, Hokkaido, designed with a staggered layout to create light and visual openness on a narrow site.

Ganko House is located in a residential area of Abashiri, Hokkaido.

The site is long and narrow, surrounded by neighboring houses.

In response to these conditions, the building volumes are arranged in a staggered formation, allowing light, air, and visual openness to enter the spaces.

As the rooms shift slightly in angle, the house creates a sense of spatial depth and calmness within the residential neighborhood.

敷地環境と建物配置

この住宅は、南側の4階建てアパートが視界を遮る一方で、西側には豊かな緑地が広がっています。東と北は住宅地に囲まれた環境です。この敷地条件を踏まえ、建物を雁行させながら配置し、西側の開口部から緑地の眺望を取り込む設計としました。また、建物の配置により西日をカットし、室内環境を快適に保つ工夫を施しました。

玄関ポーチと車庫のデザイン
玄関ポーチから車庫にかけて大きな庇を架け、落ち着いた雰囲気を作り出しています。この庇は訪れる人々を優しく迎える役割を果たし、機能性と美観を両立させています。

内部空間の設計
建物内部は北側のハイサイドライトから柔らかな光を取り込み、空間全体を包み込むような明るさを実現しました。玄関を入ると広がる奥行きのある視界が、居住者と訪問者を温かく迎えます。

リビングと和室の連続性
奥に進むと広々とした空間が広がり、リビングと和室を一体的に利用できる設計としました。リビングの床を下げ、和室との視線が平行になるよう考えています。これにより、視覚的なつながりを生み出しながらリビングの天井高さを確保し、豊かな空間を創出しています。

快適な居住空間を実現する設計
この「雁行の家」は、自然光を外部の視界をなるべく遮りながら取り入れた光が包む空間とし、訪れる人々が心地よく過ごせる住まいを目指しました。

Site Environment and Building Placement

This house is situated in a setting where a four-story apartment building blocks the southern view, while the western side opens up to a lush green area. The eastern and northern sides are surrounded by residential properties. Considering these site conditions, the building is arranged in a staggered layout to capture the scenic views of the green area through west-facing openings. The placement also helps cut off the harsh western sunlight, ensuring a comfortable indoor environment.

Design of the Entrance Porch and Garage
A large eave spans from the entrance porch to the garage, creating a serene atmosphere. This eave serves to warmly welcome visitors while balancing functionality and aesthetics.

Interior Space Design
The interior design incorporates soft light from high-side windows on the northern side, enveloping the entire space in a gentle glow. Upon entering the entrance, the expansive and deep views warmly greet both residents and visitors.

Continuity of the Living Room and Japanese Room
As you move further inside, a spacious area unfolds, where the living room and Japanese room can be used as a unified space. The living room floor is lowered to align the sightlines with the Japanese room. This design creates visual continuity while ensuring sufficient ceiling height in the living room, resulting in a rich and expansive space.

Design for a Comfortable Living Environment
The "Gangyo House" features a serene design that blends with the surrounding environment and bright spaces that skillfully utilize natural light. It is designed to provide a comfortable home where visitors can feel at ease.
