交差点にひらかれた、やさしい居場所

本計画では、地域の交差点という立地条件を丁寧に読み取りながら、
安全性と居心地の両立を意識しました。

建物の配置は、交差点の見通しが良くなるよう、
あえて少し奥に下げる計画としています。
これにより、歩行者や車両の視認性を高めると同時に、
建物の前に小さな余白が生まれました。

その余白には、ベンチと緑を設け、
地域の方が気軽に腰を下ろせる場所としています。
用事の有無に関わらず立ち寄れる、
日常の延長のような居場所を想定しました。

カフェスペースは、落ち着いた光の中で、
絵画を楽しむように静かに時間を過ごせる場として設計しています。
外の気配を感じながらも視線や光をやわらかく制御し、
展示される作品や室内の雰囲気に自然と意識が向かう空間構成としました。

また、雨や雪の多い北海道の気候を踏まえ、
軒下空間を設けることで、天候に左右されにくい居場所をつくっています。
夕暮れ時には、室内から滲むやさしい光が建物の輪郭を穏やかに浮かび上がらせ、
交差点全体に静かな気配を添えます。

「なごみ薬局・カフェここに」は、
機能を満たすだけの建物ではなく、
地域の時間が少しずつ重なっていく場所となることを願い、設計しました。

A Gentle Place Open to the Intersection

The design carefully responds to its location at a street intersection,
balancing safety with a sense of comfort.

The building is set slightly back from the corner to improve visibility at the intersection,
enhancing safety for both pedestrians and vehicles.
This setback creates a small open space in front of the building.

Within this space, benches and greenery are placed,
offering a spot where local residents can casually rest.
It is intended as an extension of everyday life—
a place to stop by regardless of having a specific purpose.

The café is designed as a quiet place where visitors can enjoy artwork
within soft, subdued light, much like viewing paintings in a gallery.
While maintaining a subtle connection to the outside,
light and views are gently controlled so that attention naturally settles on the artwork
and the calm atmosphere of the interior.

Considering Hokkaido’s climate, with its frequent rain and snow,
a covered eave space provides shelter and allows people to linger regardless of weather.
At dusk, gentle light softly seeps out from the interior,
quietly outlining the building and adding a calm presence to the intersection.

Nagomi Pharmacy & Café Kokoni is not merely a functional facility,
but a place where moments of the community slowly accumulate—
a building designed to quietly support everyday life.
