森の風景と関係をつくる二棟の別荘

双月・綽然は、北海道ニセコ町の自然に囲まれた敷地に建つ、二棟構成の別荘です。クライアントは親しい友人同士の二家族であり、それぞれが独立して滞在できる空間を持ちながらも、同じ時間や風景を共有できる場所を求めていました。コストや工期も考慮しながら、二棟を同時に計画しています。

建物の外観は、家の形をしたシンプルな筒状のボリュームが宙に浮かぶような構成としました。これは基礎ボリュームを抑えることでコストや環境への負荷を軽減しながら、周囲の豊かな自然と関係をつくり、森の中で静かに佇む建築とするためです。夜になると、建物内部の柔らかな光が木々の間に浮かび上がり、昼間とは異なる森の表情が現れます。

敷地は道路側から奥の小川へ向かって緩やかに傾斜しており、その自然な地形を生かすためスキップフロア構成を採用しています。空間が段差によって緩やかにつながることで、視線の抜けや空間の奥行きが生まれ、歩きながら少しずつ風景が変化していく構成としました。

二棟のうち一棟はアンヌプリの山並みに沿うように配置し、もう一棟は道路の方向に合わせています。同じ構成をベースにしながらも、それぞれ異なる方向性を持つことで、風景との関係や過ごし方に違いを生み出しています。

構造には鉄骨造を採用し、高い強度と開放的な空間を確保しました。鉄骨外部には断熱パネルを設け、さらに鉄部にはウレタン吹付を行うことで熱橋を抑え、ニセコの厳しい冬にも対応できる断熱性能を確保しています。

内部空間は、外観の家形のフォルムをそのまま生かし、スキップフロアによってリビングや子供室の天井高さに変化を与えています。白を基調とした壁や天井は自然光を柔らかく室内へ広げ、周囲の森の風景がより際立つ空間となるよう整えました。

この別荘は、北海道ニセコの自然と共に時間を過ごし、四季の移ろいを感じながら、家族や友人との時間を積み重ねていける場所となることを考えて設計しています。

Twin Villas Designed in Relationship with the Forest Landscape

Sogetsu / Shakuzan is a twin-villa project located in Niseko, Hokkaido, surrounded by forests and natural scenery. Designed for two families of close friends, the project creates independent living spaces while allowing shared experiences and connections.

The buildings take the form of simple house-shaped volumes that appear to float above the ground. This approach reduces foundation volume and environmental impact while creating a quiet presence within the surrounding landscape.

The sloping site descends gently from the road toward a nearby stream. A split-level configuration was introduced to utilize the natural topography, creating visual openness and changing perspectives throughout the interior spaces.

One building is aligned with the ridgeline of Mount Annupuri while the other follows the direction of the road. Although based on the same design principles, each building forms a different relationship with the landscape.

Steel construction combined with exterior insulation and spray foam treatment minimizes thermal bridging and provides comfort during Niseko's severe winters.

The interiors retain the house-shaped form while allowing natural light to spread softly across white surfaces, creating spaces where the surrounding forest becomes part of daily life.
