敷地は厚岸湾を一望できる丘の上。
眼下には湾、橋、島が連なり、
時間とともに変化する海の表情が広がる。

建物はその水平線に呼応するように、
海に沿った細長い平面構成とした。
各室から視線が自然に海へと抜ける計画である。

屋根は丘の傾斜に合わせた片流れとし、
1階から2階へと連続する空間を
一枚の面で包み込む構成とした。

その構造体を室内にあらわすことで、
まるで船の骨格のような表情を生み出している。

家族の気配は、
縦方向につながる空間によって緩やかに共有される。

風景とともにあり、
海と呼吸を合わせる住まいである。

The site sits on a gentle hill commanding panoramic views of Akkeshi Bay.
The shifting colors of sea and sky define the landscape.

The house is organized as a long, linear volume parallel to the shoreline,
ensuring that each room captures a view of the ocean.

A single sloped roof follows the inclination of the hill,
linking the first and second floors into one continuous spatial volume.

The exposed roof structure evokes the framework of a boat,
reinforcing the connection to the maritime setting.

Vertically connected spaces allow family members to sense one another’s presence,
while the horizon remains the constant backdrop of daily life.

SEA BREEZ is a house that breathes with the sea.
