風景を残し、静かに根づくクリニック

敷地は、足寄町の中心通りから少し奥に入った場所にあります。

クライアントからは、
・治療室をユニットごとに半個室化し、プライバシーを確保すること
・すっきりとした、飽きのこないデザインとすること
・メンテナンス性に優れた板金仕上げを採用すること
・高い断熱性能を確保すること
・そしてローコストで実現すること

といった要望がありました。

そこで、造成前から敷地に生えていたイタヤカエデを残し、その木を中心に建物を計画しました。
金属板の持つ硬質な印象を、この樹木の存在がやわらかく和らげます。

この木は、以前からこの道を行き交う人々の風景の一部でもあったと考えられます。
シンボルツリーとして残すことで、街の記憶と連続する診療所となり、これからも長くこの土地に根ざしていくことを願いました。

Rooted quietly in the landscape.

The site is located slightly set back from the main street in Ashoro.

The client requested semi-private treatment units to ensure patient privacy, a clean and timeless design, durable and low-maintenance metal cladding, high thermal insulation performance, and a cost-efficient construction strategy.

In response, we chose to preserve an existing Itaya maple tree that had been growing on the site before development. The building was planned around this tree, allowing its natural presence to soften the hard and industrial character of the metal exterior.

The tree was also considered part of the familiar streetscape for people who had long passed along this road. By retaining it as a symbolic tree, the clinic blends into the existing scenery and expresses a hope to remain rooted in this community for many years to come.
