Dental Clinic Design in Ashoro, Hokkaido | Calm Dental Space

ASHORO Dental Clinic is located slightly off the main street in Ashoro Town, Hokkaido. By preserving an existing Itaya maple tree at the center of the site, the design creates a calm and harmonious dental space that blends with the surrounding streetscape. Each treatment room is semi-private to ensure patient privacy and comfort. High insulation and low-maintenance metal panel finishes provide a cost-effective solution, while the clinic remains rooted in the community, in harmony with its natural surroundings.

室内では、あえて視界を絞ることで、日常の風景を少しだけ非日常へと変換しています。
インテリアは簡潔にまとめ、飾りや絵画が引き立つ余白のある空間としました。

待合室からは各治療ユニットへ直接アクセスできる動線とし、スタッフ動線とは交差しない計画としています。

半個室化によるプライバシーの確保、バリアフリーへの配慮、無駄な動線の排除。
それらを積み重ねることで建物規模を最小限に抑え、機能性とローコストを両立させました。

Inside, views are intentionally framed and narrowed to transform everyday scenery into something slightly extraordinary.
The interior is kept simple and restrained, allowing artwork and decorative elements to stand out within a calm spatial background.

Patients can access each treatment unit directly from the waiting area, while staff circulation is carefully separated to avoid overlap.

By combining semi-private treatment spaces, full barrier-free accessibility, and the elimination of unnecessary circulation, the overall building volume was minimized.
This compact planning approach achieves both spatial efficiency and cost control.
