明確な用途の空間（箱）とその間の空間

建物の四隅には、寝室、水まわり、収納、ワークスペースなど、それぞれ明確な用途を持つ空間を配置しました。
生活を支える機能を整理しながら独立させることで、住まい全体に落ち着いた輪郭を与えています。
その中心にはキッチンを据え、家族の動線や視線が自然に交わる場所としました。
そして箱と箱のあいだに生まれる空間は、用途を限定しない自由な余白として残しています。

読書をする場所。
子どもが遊ぶ場所。
庭を眺める場所。
季節や時間によって居場所が変わる、柔らかな空間です。

Clearly defined functional “boxes” and the spaces that emerge between them

At the four corners of the house, spaces with clearly defined functions are arranged, including the bedroom, wet areas, storage, and workspace.
By organizing and separating the functions that support daily life, the overall house is given a calm and composed structure.
At the center, the kitchen is placed as the core of the home, where circulation paths and family sightlines naturally intersect.
The spaces created between these volumes are intentionally left open as flexible areas without fixed functions.
A place to read.
A place for children to play.
A place to look out toward the garden.
These gentle spaces allow one’s place within the home to shift with the seasons, the time of day, and everyday moods.

Performance Planning for Hokkaido’s Climate
In Hokkaido, including Makubetsu, residential design must respond to winter cold, heating efficiency, and seismic performance.
“House in Aima” was planned with:
