マンションリフォームの設計｜制約の中で生まれる豊かな空間
マンションリフォームで求められる配慮
マンションリフォームでは、上下左右の居住者への配慮が欠かせません。また、ドアや家具の搬入経路を考慮した設計も重要です。 今回のリフォームでは、エレベーターに入るサイズで家具や建具をデザインし、現場でジョイントできるディテールとしました。
素材の工夫による心地よい質感
マンションでは防音の観点から無垢材の使用が難しいことがあります。しかし、質感のないフローリングでは空間に魅力が生まれません。そのため、今回はナラの合板フローリングの中でも、厚い突板で節のある一枚物を選びました。 また、新築であればナラ材で家具や建具を統一するところですが、マンションリフォームではもう少し荒々しい質感があった方が良いと考え、目につきやすい垂直面には目の粗いタモ材を採用しました。さらに、紙クロスは最も目の粗いものを選び、微妙な陰影を生み出す工夫を施しました。タイルも光の揺らぎを感じられるものとしています。 既存のダイニングテーブルとベンチは天板が傷んでいたため、今回の工事に合わせて同じ材質のものに張り替えました。
天井の整理による空間の整え方
マンションでは、少しでも天井を高く確保するために梁型が多く、凹凸のある天井になりがちです。今回の設計では、天井の高さを優先するのではなく、多少低くなっても入り乱れたラインを整理することで、落ち着いた天井高さで空間全体の統一感を生み出しました。
マンションリフォームの可能性
マンションリフォームには多くの制約がありますが、その中でも素材の工夫次第で豊かな空間をつくることができます。利便性を重視する方にとって、適切なリフォームは必要な選択肢となります。 今回のプロジェクトでは、忙しく過ごすご夫婦と家族の生活が、空間と同調しながら心地よく感じられるよう、シンプルながらも豊かな住まいを目指しました。

In apartment renovations, careful consideration must be given to the residents above, below, and on both sides. Additionally, designing with the transportation of doors and furniture in mind is essential. For this renovation, we designed the furniture and fixtures to fit within the elevator dimensions and incorporated details that allow for on-site assembly.
Creating a Comfortable Texture Through Thoughtful Material Selection
In apartments, the use of solid wood is often challenging due to soundproofing considerations. However, flooring without texture can make a space feel lifeless. Therefore, for this project, we selected oak plywood flooring with thick veneer and natural knots to add depth and character.
Organizing the Ceiling to Create a Harmonious Space
In apartments, ceilings often have numerous beams and irregularities in an effort to maximize height. For this design, rather than prioritizing ceiling height, we focused on organizing the chaotic lines, even if it meant a slightly lower ceiling. This approach created a sense of unity and a more harmonious spatial experience.

In this project, we aimed to create a simple yet enriching home where the busy lives of the couple and their family harmonize with the space, offering both comfort and a sense of well-being.
