既存の庭にあった桜と遠景を活かし、プライバシーにも配慮した設計
札幌市の住宅地に建つ「回の家」は、もともとこの敷地にあった桜を残し、遠景を取り込むことで四季を感じる暮らしを実現した住宅です。壁面後退や敷地制約の中で最大限のフットプリントを確保しながら、周囲のプライバシーにも配慮した設計です。
回遊動線を活かした空間構成
「回の家」は、玄関から奥の空間に至るまで、一筆書きのようにつながる回遊動線にしています。この回遊動線の設計により、住まう人々は自然に家全体を移動しながら、それぞれの空間がどこからでもアクセスしやすく、連続的に感じられます。住宅の主要な要素（玄関、居間、キッチン、寝室など）は断片的に配置されており、それぞれが独立しつつも、回遊動線を通じて有機的に繋がります。加えて、各空間をつなぐ部分には、屋外の感覚を感じる小さな庭や通路が点在し、自然の要素を取り入れた空間が内部に広がります。これにより、外と内の境界が溶け合い、季節の変化をより近くに感じながら、日常生活の中で自然を感じる様に考えました。
シークエンスが生み出す物語性
この住宅の回遊動線は、単なる空間のつながりにとどまらず、日常生活の中で生まれる何気ない日常を物語の様に意識した設計としています。各生活シーンがひとつひとつ連携し、空間を移動するたびに新たな体験が待っています。玄関から居間、キッチン、そして寝室へと進むにつれ、それぞれの空間で異なる印象を与え、まるで短編映画のシーンを一つ一つ追っていくような感覚を覚えます。このようにして、日常の動きや時間の流れがシークエンスとなり、空間内での移動がまるで物語を紡ぐように展開します。その結果、住まう人々にとって、この家は単なる住空間ではなく、毎日が新たなエピソードを生む「長編映画」のような豊かな時間を提供する場となります。
空間と周辺環境
この住宅において自然との調和を最大限に活かしつつ、住む人々の生活が快適で豊かであるように配慮しています。敷地内に既存の桜を取り入れ、その美しさを空間の中に反映させるとともに、周囲の風景を取り込むことによって、四季の移ろいを感じることができるようにしています。さらに、外からの視線や音の影響を抑えるプライバシーに配慮した設計としています、都会的な環境にいながらも、まるで自然の中にいるかのような落ち着いた空間になる様に設計しました。このような工夫により、「回の家」は、家族が心地よく暮らすために最適な空間としました。

The design takes advantage of the existing cherry tree in the garden and incorporates the distant views, while also considering privacy.
Located in a residential area of Sapporo, "Kai no Ie" is a home that preserves the existing cherry tree on the site and incorporates distant views, creating a living environment that embraces the changing seasons. The design ensures the maximum possible footprint within the constraints of setbacks and site limitations, while also taking into account privacy from the surrounding area.
Space Layout Maximizing the Flowing Circulation
"Kai no Ie" features a flowing circulation that connects spaces in a seamless, one-stroke design from the entrance to the inner areas. This layout allows residents to naturally move throughout the house, with each space being easily accessible from any point, creating a continuous sense of flow. The main elements of the home (such as the entrance, living room, kitchen, and bedrooms) are arranged in fragmented sections, each independently placed yet organically connected through the circulation. Additionally, small gardens and pathways that evoke an outdoor feeling are scattered between spaces, incorporating natural elements within the interior. This design blurs the boundary between the inside and outside, allowing the residents to experience the changing seasons up close and feel nature as part of their daily life.
The Narrative Created by the Sequence
The circulation in this house goes beyond merely connecting spaces; it is designed with the intention of turning the everyday moments of daily life into a narrative. Each living scene is interconnected, and every movement through the spaces offers a new experience. As one moves from the entrance to the living room, kitchen, and bedroom, each space provides a distinct impression, creating a sensation similar to following scenes in a short film. In this way, the flow of daily activities and the passage of time become a sequence, unfolding like a story as one moves through the spaces. As a result, for those living in the house, it becomes more than just a place to live; it offers a rich experience, like a "feature film" where each day brings a new episode.
Space and Surrounding Environment
In this residence, every effort has been made to maximize harmony with nature while ensuring that the living environment remains comfortable and enriching for its inhabitants. The existing cherry tree on the site has been integrated into the design, allowing its beauty to be reflected within the space, while the surrounding landscape is incorporated to evoke a sense of the changing seasons. Additionally, the design is mindful of privacy, minimizing the impact of external views and sounds. Despite being in an urban environment, the space has been created to feel like a peaceful retreat immersed in nature. Through these thoughtful design considerations, "Kai no Ie" provides an optimal environment where the family can live comfortably and harmoniously.
A Home Where Urban Living and Nature Coexist in a Sapporo Residential Area

The space layout, which utilizes a flowing circulation, brings new discoveries and experiences to the inhabitants every day, weaving a rich story over time. The design seeks to harmonize with nature while creating a space where the residents can live comfortably. Living in this house allows one to feel the richness of life as the seasons change, experiencing each day as a new chapter in an ongoing story. This house is designed as an ideal space for a life that balances harmony with nature while enjoying a fulfilling existence within the city.
「回の家」の外観は、ガルバリウム鋼板の縦ハゼを上下で互い違いに配置し、加えて上下階の出も変えることで単調さをなくしました。

中庭を望みながら回遊するシークエンスを楽しむ。奥のスリット窓から外の風景が断片的に広がり、移動するたびに異なる景色が現れる。

左手に中庭を眺めながら回遊する動線が広がり、突き当りの窓から町の風景が断片的に見える設計が、プライバシーを守りながら町との接続を行う。

階段ホールのカーテンウォール脇に元々生えていた桜の木が佇み、階段を上がると手稲山の美しい遠景が広がる。常に通る動線に本棚を配置し、子供が本に触れる機会を促す。
寝室から中庭に広がる空を望むことで、室内と自然が一体化した心地よい空間が広がる。
回遊する動線の一部として設けられたバルコニー。プライバシーを保ちながら、空とのつながりと家族の気配を感じられるようにした。

可動間仕切りでつなげた3部屋の子供室。使用シーンに応じて空間を自由に仕切り、柔軟に対応できるようにした。
衛生面を考え玄関脇に配置し、落ち着いたデザインとした。
東側の朝陽を取り入れたハイサイドの洗面所。無機質になりがちな空間を、木目の扉や素材を使って柔らかく温かみのあるデザインに仕上げた。
